Deck Air Compressor Failure

Deck air compressor dismantled/boxed up with all new piston rings/conrod bearing main bearings etc. Bumping clearance also checked. While trying out found crankcase fuming: compressor stopped immediately. It was observed to be gudgeon pin O-ring damage, through which compressed air leaked through crankcase.
