Fuel Oil Spray Onto Turbocharger of Aux Engine Causing a Fire

Auxiliary Engine Fire – Fuel Hose Failure. Incident happened in a offshore supply vessel. Fuel hose attached to engine driven pump failed and fuel sprayed on hot surfaces of turbo charger. Ruptured fuel hose – fuel sprayed on hot T/C surfaces and resulted in fire. Hoses on engine to be replaced with original spare every 2.5yrs.
