Cooling Water Condition to be Maintained as Per Maker's Instructions

Air entered into generator jacket cooling water system leads to black out during pilotage. Vessel not maintained nitrite level as per maker instruction. During pilotage suddenly CW pressure dropped jacket cooling temp increased and tripped. Cooler tubes got damaged, and system got airlocked. Cooler replaced and situation normalised.
