Not adhering to the wearing of proper PPE

During my various continuous service onboard ships as C/E, I have noticed that boiler suits are not worn properly by engine crew & some of them tie them on the hip or fold their sleeves, kindly ensure compliances of PPE matrix as per job.

Proper PPEs to be discussed in the tool box meeting, and to ensure that they are adhered to by the personnel.

During night watch 1600 – 2000hrs wiper attempted to changeover filter and clean the filter, a proper purging procedure was not followed, ended up with some hot oil spray on his hands and chest area. Luckily no serious injury took place.
